Uche Ignites Dominant Crystal Palace Triumph at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Even though embarking on their first-ever European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
