Tehran is ready to resume atomic talks with the United States provided that it is treated with "dignity" and "respect", Tehran's top diplomat has declared.

The Iranian diplomat declared only diplomacy produced results, and disclosed fresh requests had been made by intermediaries to resume discussions with the American leadership. He said Iran possessed no unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran was not yet able to authorize the global atomic watchdog to visit bombed nuclear sites for security reasons.

Navigating a Complex Course

The foreign minister is navigating a complex route since Iran aims to avoid be perceived to be proceeding from a stance of disadvantage, and he emphatically stated that Iran had arisen stronger militarily and mentally from the joint assault on its nuclear sites in June.

He was talking at a defense forum in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to refine atomic fuel domestically that it will never give up" – the main reason of the stalemate in the prior discussions.

Previous Discussions Suddenly Terminated

The earlier sessions of discussions between the US and Iran were ended suddenly and hostile conclusion on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, targeted Iran's enrichment centers in a two-week conflict that concluded with the US president declaring the locations had been destroyed. Following this, Western states employed their privilege to reimpose international penalties, but Iran insists they have not had a major impact.

Magic Solution Offered

Iran's diplomats claimed they felt they had achieved a "magic solution" to the nuclear fuel concern in earlier negotiations, when it was agreed an Iran-based consortium with US participation could process nuclear material. The two nations would have been able to assert triumph since home-based processing would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's nuclear programme was entirely non-military.

It had not been decided in the negotiations that Washington's technical specialists could function inside Iran, but that was a reasonable assumption of the partnership suggestion. Diplomats claimed repeatedly they had secured an understanding with Washington's diplomat Steve Witkoff only for the deal to collapse due to "detractors in America".

Existing Status

Tehran representatives said the cooperative arrangement was now no longer available, but it seems quite possible the suggestion could be resurrected in some form if negotiations resume.

The US president last week claimed he had been getting signals that Iran desired to restart talks, but in private Iranian officials state they are not yet receiving consistent overtures from Washington either directly or from important Middle Eastern intermediaries, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, Oman and the Saudi kingdom. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been accused of non-responsiveness in the wake of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran says negotiations is not part of a performance.

Political Stance

In his speech to the conference, aimed to paint the US as a dominant force that misuses the concept of international law, Araghchi said the fortnight-long engagement showed the dispute could not be settled by military means. He asserted the attacks started with a US demand for an unconditional Iranian surrender and concluded with an unconditional call for a ceasefire.

Iran is convinced the first strikes by Israel were mounted with full US knowledge and coordination, making faith difficult to rebuild.

Diplomacy Remains the Final Answer

The foreign minister declared: "It was not Iran that had fled diplomacy; it was the United States and the Western nations that had consistently sought to enforce their desires during the discussions. Diplomacy can still be alive and stays the final answer to resolve disputes, but its requirements, guidelines and tenets must be respected."

"Provided that they talk to the nation of Iran with the language of respect and honor, they will receive a answer in the equivalent approach."

Recovery and Reconstruction

In what is described by Iran's diplomats as the battle of recovery and reconstruction, the foreign minister said he was confident Iran's military capacities "have significantly improved than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We acquired multiple understandings from this engagement; we have discovered our internal vulnerabilities and the shortcomings of the opponent."

He stated: "We successfully passed this war. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to eliminate, continues to exist. The facilities and equipment, if damaged, will be restored; what is essential is the determination of the nation of Iran and then the national cohesion that they sought to undermine, but failed to break. The citizens of Tehran have grown stronger, more integrated, and more endorsing of the administration and the nation in the aftermath of this invasion."
