This project constitutes a from-scratch reinterpretation of the iconic 2000 role-playing game, first titled Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Taking a notable departure from other Dragon Quest remakes, such as the previously released HD-2D versions, this remake adopts a charming three-dimensional visual presentation. The world are designed to look like detailed dioramas, with protagonists featuring a appealing chibi-esque look.
